Hi there, Kerri.

I'd be glad to help you locate recently keyed journal entries.

QuickBooks has a search function that makes it easy to find transactions quickly. You can use the Advanced Search option to filter for Journal Entries and locate old entries.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon and select the Advanced Search option.
  2. Adjust the filters to find the type of data you want. For example, in the Transaction type dropdown, select Journal. This will filter out and show the journal entry transactions you have entered.

When creating a Journal Entry, you  have the option to view the recent entries by clicking the clock icon at the upper left of your screen.

See the screenshot below for your visual guide.

You can also get a copy of your journal entries, you can open the Journal report.

Here are the steps to access it:

  1. On the left pane, go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for the Journal report in the search bar.
  3. Select Customize, then set the desired reporting date from the Report period.
  4. Under Filter, choose Journal Entry from the Transaction Type drop-down menu.
  5. Click Run report.

I’ve included these references in case you’d like to save the report setting and print it for future use:

Keep me posted if you require further assistance locating journal entries in QuickBooks. I'd be more than willing to provide the necessary help.
