Thank you for reaching out. Let's work together to resolve why the quantity and rate fields are not showing up when entering a bill.

Know that when entering a bill, there are two sections where you can input information: the Item details and the Category details section. To find the quantity and rate fields, you can look for them in the item details section. This is where you can add specific details such as the item namedescriptionquantity, and rate. Please double-check if you are entering the information in the item details section. You can access this section by clicking on the Item Details ▼ dropdown. Here's how:

  1. Go to + New and select Bill.
  2. From the Vendor ▼ dropdown, select a vendor.
  3. From the Terms ▼ dropdown, select the bill's terms. It is when your vendor expects to be paid.
  4. Enter the Bill dateDue date, and Bill no. as they are recorded on the bill.
  5. Enter the bill details in the Category details and Item details section.
  6. Enter the Amount and tax.
  7. If you plan to bill a customer for the expense, choose the Billable checkbox and enter their name in the Customer field.
  8. Click Save and close.

If you have tried this already and the fields are still not showing up, I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting steps on your browser. This way, you can identify if it is a browser-related issue. If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with clearing the stocked cache and cookies causing the issues.

With that, you can locate the quantity and rate fields when entering a bill in QuickBooks Online. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out anytime. Best regards!
