Question

While entering JE, system will not save because it is saying debits and credits are not equal. But that is not the case.

Welcome to the Community, @ccaradonna.

I can see how time-consuming it is when there's an error while entering a Journal Entry. Rest assured, I'm here to help resolve this matter.

To ensure we're on the same page, may I ask how you recorded your Journal Entry? So that we can give you the most accurate response. A screenshot will be much appreciated, but ensure to filter any confidential information.

Meanwhile, we can check if it's a browser-related issue by logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private or incognito window.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If there's no issue with using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.

Additionally, you can check out this article to learn how to reverse a journal entry to swap the debits and credits or delete it entirely: Reverse or delete a journal entry in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to reach out if you have further concerns about Journal Entry or any QuickBooks-related queries. It's always our pleasure to help you. Keep safe.
