Question

Why are many of my transactions duplicated dozens of times in my Credit Card transactions? I have entered the receipts through Receipt Snap. Could this be the issue?

Let me share more information about receipt snapping, @Dgoelz.

When your Credit card is connected to your QuickBooks Online, QB will extract the information and create a transaction for you to review.

This feature will definitely duplicate your transactions. We can exclude the duplicated transactions in the Review tab. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Bank Transactions.
  2. Under the For Review tab, check the box beside the Date.
  3. Hit Exclude once done.

If you want to attach your receipt to a transaction, here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and then select Receipts.
  2. In the Review tab, you can review your uploaded receipts. QuickBooks will let you know if it finds existing transactions that match your uploaded receipt.
  3. Check the labels in the Action column to see the next step.

Moreover, let me share this article for you to learn more about categorizing your transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you still have questions about your receipts. Have a great day ahead, and take care.
