Why are my categories for expenses gone suddenly? Can’t get them back on my mobile or my MacBook. Bookkeeping accurately at this point is pointless

Here's how:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
2. Select Help (?).
3. Click Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:

• Start a chat with a support expert.
• Get a callback from the next available expert.

As a workaround, we can refresh the data within the app to bring those missing categories back on the app. When expense categories aren't showing, it is likely caused by a sync issue or using an outdated mobile app version. Here's how to do it on iOS and Android devices: 

For iOS devices: 

1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
2. Tap iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
3. Tap Offload App.
4. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

For Android devices: 

1. Go to Menu ☰ then tap More Options ⋮.
2. Tap Settings, then select Refresh Data.
3. Tap YES to confirm.
