Why are some customers included in the Customer Contact List not included in the Customer Balance reports in QBO?

Thank you.  I was expecting all of the Customers to be included in the Balance Reports when I selected All Dates and they weren't all there.  I now realize I had the chosen the wrong "Show non-zero or active only" selections when I ran the report.  I changed those selections and now all of the Customers are included as expected.  Thanks again.

Hi dpmonaco-ameritem!

The reports you mentioned have different uses. I'll be happy to share insights about them.

The Customer Balance Detail and the Customer Balance Summary reports will only show the list of customers with balances on your specified report date. The Customer Contact List, on the other hand, will show all customers and their contact details.

You can also check about customizing reports, so you'll be guided in filtering the data you only need.

The Community team is always here to help should you have any other concerns. Take good care always!

Thank you. I understand the difference, but why are all of the Customers are not appearing in two Balance reports when you run the reports for All Dates?
