Why can I create a bill without entering bill number?

Quickbooks Online allows me to create a bill and save it without ever entering a bill number? How can we enforce a bill number to be entered in order to create a bill. Some sort of warning message would be great when the user tries to click save, but I cannot find the setting

I understand the importance of being able to enter a bill number every time you create one or having a setting that will enforce a warning message in QuickBooks Online (QBO).  You'll want to submit feedback to let our product team know how this feature will benefit your business needs. To do so, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.
