As per checking on my end, generating an estimate using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app is still possible, b3construction. I'm glad to show you how.

Beforehand, did you get any error notification while trying to create the estimate? Any additional information or a screenshot would help sort this out accordingly.

Going back, we can still produce an estimate on the QBO app. Once you choose a customer and product or service item on the Estimates page, the system automatically saves your inputs and added information. That said, kindly refer to the steps below for making the estimate.

  1. Open your QBO app and navigate to Menu ☰.
  2. Select Estimates and press the Plus + icon.
  3. Add a Customer. After that, choose Add product or service.
  4. Double-check the product/service item and hit Add.
  5. Following this, other fields of the Estimate page will now populate on the screen. You may add more information if necessary.
  6. Every added detail and item on the Estimate page will be saved automatically in the system.
  7. You may also Send the estimate to your customer (Optional).

To check your saved estimate data, kindly navigate to the main Estimates menu from the Menu ☰ section of the app.

However, if you're still unable to create the estimate after following the steps above, I recommend refreshing the app's data. It can help isolate the problem and stimulate the app and its system.

For iOS devices:

  1. Open your QuickBooks app.
  2. Tap the Settings menu and press General.
  3. Pick iPhone Storage. Then, choose the QuickBooks Online app.
  4. Select Offload App to free up the app's data.

For Android devices:

  1. Open your QuickBooks app.
  2. Navigate to Menu ☰ and select More Options ⋮.
  3. Press Settings and choose Refresh Data.
  4. Confirm the action by tapping YES.

Nevertheless, if the issue persists, kindly follow the steps provided in the Fix other app related issues section from this link to troubleshoot and resolve the issue: Fix common errors in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

You may also consider utilizing your mobile browser to log in to your QBO account and use it to generate your estimates.

Finally, I'll include this article to give you a proper list of available features of QBO supported on your app that vary by device: Compare mobile app features.

I'll be here once you send updates on this thread or have follow-up questions regarding your estimates in the QBO app. I'll make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.
