Why can’t I return an item. Bought a computer and trying to return it but QuickBooks is declining the return as not authorized

It would be helpful if you could also attach a screenshot that shows QuickBooks declining the return due to it not being authorized. Not sure if my other response came through but basically on QuickBooks it doesn’t show that the payment or return was declined, but it shows right now that the current purchase is still pending.I bought a laptop two days ago, trying to return the laptop at an Apple Store when I do the return, it says that it’s not authorized And it’s declined to allow me to return to the same card that I purchased on. Not sure why I can’t do the return.

If you're using either QuickBooks debit card or QuickBooks Payments to purchase the computer, QuickBooks typically sends notifications to customers regarding any issues with payments or refund issues encountered. With this, you can check your email for any notifications regarding the error codes and instructions to rectify the situation.

 

However, if you didn't receive one, and still can't process the return, I recommend contacting our Payments support for further assistance. They have the necessary tools and expertise to securely assess your account and provide a tailored solution to address your specific issue. 

 

You can easily get in touch with our experts by following these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select the Search tab.
  2. Then, click Contact Us.
  3. Then, enter a brief description of your concern and select Continue.
  4. Lastly, choose either Start a Chat or Get a Callback to start connecting with them.
