Question

Why did none of my subcontractors ever receive their 1099 from you after I paid to have them filed and mailed through Quickbooks.

Not a single contractor has received the 1099.

It's great to have you join this forum, crunge-cancleanc. Filing 1099s earlier than expected is a good move to submit contractor forms on time and receive them once accepted. I'm here to provide information when processing 1099s.

If you've submitted 1099s electronically with QuickBooks, we may send and mail a copy to your contractors depending on the delivery time of the courier. E-filing these forms before January 28 at 5:00 PM PT will ensure that by the 31st of January, your vendors can have their 1099s postmarked on them.

Once these forms are ready, you may consider printing them a copy of their 1099s and sending them manually.

In addition to this, you may reach out to our Customer Care Team during their support hours to keep track of your federal forms. They have all the resources to provide real-time assistance to this query. To do that:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account and go to the Help icon. Then, choose the Search tab.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Describe your concern and click Continue.
  4. Choose between Chat with us and Have us call you.

Moreover, if you need further guidance when filing 1099s, I've included these references to learn about your state's requirements:

I'll keep this thread available if there's anything else you need assistance with when filing 1099s. Let me know in the comments below, so I can get you covered. Keep safe and have a great day ahead!
