Question

Why did the format change and my template is not allowed to preview the invoice?Does anyone else think this is a problem?Since I pay for a service I’d expect to use it?

Thank you for letting us know about this, Mark.

We have made it easier for you to create, send, and manage custom estimates and invoices in QuickBooks. We understand that any changes to QuickBooks can affect how you use the program.

To preview your invoice template, use the default format before applying any changes for a successful preview.

If the issue persists after resetting to default, try using an incognito window to preview your custom invoice template.

Here are some key shortcuts for accessing a private window:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it's working, clear your browser's cache to remove stored data. It will eliminate errors and load QuickBooks like a new page.

I added an article on customizing sales forms in QuickBooks Online: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to keep me posted if you've additional questions about managing your invoice. Have a great day!
