Question

Why didn't my contractors receive an email when I e-filed the 1099 forms? The status says 'Accepted' it says they were "Emailed, Mailed".

They all had email addresses in their W9 form.  Will they get an email or should I tell them to wait to receive the 1099's in the mail?

Hey there, @heather110. Thanks for sharing your concern on the QuickBooks Community page.

 

After you file your 1099s in QuickBooks, your contractors will receive a printed copy of it. All they need to do is wait for the copy to be emailed or mailed to them.

Additionally, you can print 1099 forms in QBO if you need to give physical copies to your contractors.
