Why do vendors display with weird characters in the name?

Let me help you get to the bottom of this. 

Sometimes, unusual behaviors within QuickBooks Online might be caused by a browser-related issue. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to rule this out. 

Let's start by signing in to your QuickBooks Online account using the private browser or incognito. This mode prevents your browsing history from being stored. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: Command + Option + P

Next, go to Expenses > Vendors and check the your vendor's information. If you're not seeing the strange characters, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Finally, close and re-open your browser to refresh the browser settings. Alternatively, try using a different supported browser.
