Why does a "Credit Card Expense" (in the credit card register) change to "Expense" when being edited? How do I manually (or through API) create a Credit Card Expense?

The "Credit Card Expense" gets created from the finance-charge amount when doing a reconciliation.  I need to create those through the API, and was wondering how.

Currently, the option to create a Credit Card Expense through the API in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is not yet available. 

 

I'd recommend, however, contacting our Developer Support for further assistance for to you view and add an expense transaction via API.

 

Here's how you can reach them:

 

  1. Go to the Developer Support page.
  2. Tap QuickBooks Online.
  3. Hit Ask a Question.
