The error indicates a request was successful, but the expected data or response was not received, wildcheerbling. It could be due to various reasons, such as server-side issues or problems with data retrieval.

To get around, we can perform troubleshooting steps. Doing so will help us determine why certain errors occur during the process.

If you're using a web browser, we can access QuickBooks and create invoices using a private window. A private window is helpful for troubleshooting browser-related issues because it doesn't preserve any history. The following are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once done, it's recommended to clear your browser's cache or cookies to avoid similar issues in the future. Alternatively, opting for one of the supported browsers can also be an option.

However, if you're using the mobile app, you can follow the steps outlined in this article for both Android and iOS: See your latest data in the QuickBooks Online app.

In addition, you can refer to this article for instructions on how to log a payment in your records when your customer settles their open balance: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
