Question

Why doesn't the estimate save every time? I spent an hour typing this estimate, tapped "add" and when I came back to it, it was all gone.

Thank you, Kate, for bringing this to our attention. I understand how valuable your time is and how important it is to save an estimate for your business.

To ensure that your estimate is saved and to avoid any duplicates, I recommend checking the customer lists. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the left navigation panel and select Sales.
  2. In the Sales interface, select Customers.
  3. Choose the specific customer that you created with your estimate and select it.
  4. Verify if there's any estimate that you created or saved.

However, if your estimate is not saved, it could be due to a cache-related issue that is preventing you from saving it. To troubleshoot this, we can start by using a private or incognito window to rule out any cache problems in your browser. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts, depending on the type of browser you are using:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, go to the QuickBooks Online (QBO) page and try to create and save the estimate. If it works, you can clear your browser's cache. This removes the webpage data that's causing the issue. If a private browser doesn't work, you can use other installed supported browsers as another option.
