Hello there, mizom1986.

I can help you ensure that your customer's invoices get paid in QuickBooks efficiently by performing the troubleshooting steps below.

First off, may I know the specific error or the reason why the app doesn’t go through on your end? This information will help me identify any reported issues related to your experience.

To begin with, if you're referring to the issue that your customer is unable to pay online from the invoice you sent as they don't see "Pay now" in their email, please note that payment processing is an add-on through QuickBooks Payments. If you don't have this, you can still email invoices to your customers but they won't be able to pay directly from the invoice.

If you have the said subscription, you have to turn it on so that your customers can pay directly from an invoice. However, if the customer sees an error when they click Pay Now, you need to recommend following any directions they see in the error message. If there aren't any steps, you may refer to this article to see another instruction on how your invoice receiver fixes it: What to do if your customers can't pay their invoices online.

However, if you're the one who processes the payment on your customer's behalf and the QuickBooks app doesn't work, let's now clear the cache of your QuickBooks app. This will eliminate historical data that might cause the app not to go through and give you a clean slate.

Here's how:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Select Apps (varies by device).
  3. Choose QuickBooks app from the list, then choose Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

If the issue persists, I recommend following some quick steps below to fix most app-related issues.

  1. Change the Wifi data connection on your device to 4G (varies by device).
  2. Close and restart the app.
  3. Power down and restart your device.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app.

In case you need steps on how you can manage partial payment for an invoice and group multiple payments together into a single deposit, you can read this article: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

I've got your back if you have more questions about managing customer transactions in QBO. Just add your reply in the comment section so I can assist you further, mizom1986. Have a good one.
