I'm delighted to have you in the Community, @speeddoctormachi. I'll gladly discuss why your estimate shows as taxable income in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.
Here in QBO, when you do an estimate and click the box below the Tax column, it'll automatically show as taxable income on your end, even when it was never settled or delivered to your customer. To fix this, you can update the status of that estimate and change it to Closed. I'll be more than happy to input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the left navigational bar, go to the Sales tab.
- Go to Estimates section, and then locate the estimate that was never delivered.
- Below the Action column, click the dropdown arrow and select Update Status.
- Change the status to Closed.
- Once done, click OK.
