Question

Why is billable time converting to hours on printed invoice when it shows as decimals on invoice?

When you create the invoice the qty screen shows 0.5. When you print the invoice it shows 0:30. It should show the qty on the invoice screen, how can I change the way it prints?

If you look at the attached screen shot you can see that the invoice creation screen shows 0.5 hours and the printed invoice shows 0:30.  This makes it difficult for the client to verify the charges.

Hello there, @VincentOH.

I appreciate you sharing your concerns with us. At the moment, that's the format when entering the billable hours on to the invoice.

The option to change the time format is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. Rest assured, I'll take note of this idea and share it with our developers. This suggestion will be analyzed by our Development team and may be added as one of QuickBooks Online's new features.

I would also suggest checking out our blog, so you'll be updated with our new feature released.

That is unfortunate that they have not corrected the issue after several years.  I have found other articles that were several years old describing the same issue.  I was hopeful that maybe it was fixed and the articles were just not updated.  It is very misleading to show 0.5 on the screen when creating an invoice and then show 0:30 on the printed invoice.
