A week now this is happening. I can’t write estimates. This is crazy. I click the box to type then it just goes away.

We don't want you to encounter this occurrence within your Estimate page, maddenmech. I'm here to help you sort this out promptly so you can add and modify your estimates accordingly in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There are instances that QBO exhibits abnormality in the system because of excessive browser data that could impact its performance. To verify, let's open your QBO account using a private browser.

Kindly follow the keyboard shortcut keys below to access the private windows:

  • Safari: Command + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

If you can generate and input some notes in the estimate using the private session, it indicates an issue with your regular browser. Let's fix this by clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

Nevertheless, if the problem persists, you may consider using another supported browser.

Additionally, once your customer accepts your proposal on an estimate, you may convert it into an invoice. It could help you save time tracking and managing your sales and ensure you'll have accurate data in QuickBooks.

I'm still available should you have follow-up questions with your estimate or any QuickBooks-related concerns. Just reply to this thread, and I'll provide the needed help.
