I'm here to share some information with you about ACH payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @southwestservice.

Recently, QuickBooks release an update that beginning April 12, 2021, bank transfer (ACH) payments will be charged a 1% fee (max $10) per transaction. There will be no charges for credit card or debit card payments. They will be still deposited at current rates.

You can check out the following links for further information:

That is not what I mean.  They charge my customer 3% ($200) like they do on a convenience fee for a credit card.  Bank transfers are supposed to be free.  How do I get that refunded to him?

Thanks for getting back to us, @southwestservice.

I have some information about the customer charge. QuickBooks Payments charges a fee each time you process a transaction. This charge will be posted in your account.

In your case, you'll want to contact our Customer Payment Support so we can verify the charges. From there, we can process a refund.

You can use this link to reach out: Contact Payments.

I'm also adding this article for details about fees for voids, returns, and refunds: Understand fees for refunds or void transactions.

Please know that you're always welcome to reply anytime if you have follow-up questions or concerns with credit card fees. I'll be around to help. Take care and have a nice day ahead.
