Why is report Inventory Stock Status By Site missing active item numbers?

Hi -

Why is report Inventory Stock Status By Site missing active item numbers?   The other reports - Inventory Stock Status By Item and Physical Inventory report do appear to show a complete listing of active item numbers.

On the Inventory Stock Status By Site report, I already reviewed all sites, and there are active item numbers missing from that report. I do see the majority of active item numbers in the report, however there are many item numbers missing.  Also, I reviewed and removed filters to see if that would solve the issue, but it doesn't.

QuickBooks users, have you observed this problem as well?
Is there a reason this report isn't showing all active item numbers, or is this a report glitch?

If it matters, I use QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with the Advanced Inventory options.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hi -  Just to clarify, on the Inventory Stock Status By Site report, I did look at the report in totality and some active item numbers are missing.  So, my question remains  - why are some active item numbers not showing anywhere on this report?

Hello there, Dav.

Accurate and complete information in reports, especially the item numbers for products and services, helps you easily track your inventory and transactions. Let's work together to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Missing names, transactions, and item numbers may indicate a data integrity problem in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDDT) company file. Use the Verify and Rebuild Data Utilities to address these problems.

To launch the utilities:

  1. Go to the File menu at the top to choose Utilities and Rebuild Data.
  2. Click OK to create a backup of the company file and then press the Save button to keep the copy.
  3. Tap the OK button once the Rebuild is completed.
  4. Then, go back to the File menu to choose Utilities and Verify Data.
  5. If it finds an issue, click Rebuild or OK to continue using the company file.

Next, open the report you're working on and check the item numbers. If the issue persists, perform Solutions 2 up to 4 in this reference: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

If none of these suggestions work, use the Re-sort list function to reset the order of your items. For additional resources, utilize the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix your company file and data integrity problem.

Is there a reason that some active item numbers don't show up anywhere on the Inventory Stock Status By Site report?

Is there a glitch with Inventory Stock Status By Site report?

I looked at some sample data that QuickBooks provides, and I noticed this problem occurs with the QuickBooks sample data too.

I had already contacted QB support before making this post.  Can you ask your QB report developers if there's a reason not all item numbers show up in the report?  Or, is this a problem with the report?
