Why is the QuickBooks app not allowing me to make a copy of an invoice?

When I press ‘make a copy’ it closes out the current invoice and does not open a copy.

I want to ensure you're able to make a copy of your invoices using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app, @WellsLF.

When having an issue while using the program, it's a good idea to clear its cache files. This will remove the piled-up data that can get corrupted and cause odd behaviors.

Below are the steps you can perform depending on your device.

For iOS:

  1. Tap the menu at the top right part of the screen.
  2. Next, choose Help & Feedback
  3. Then, click Refresh Data and select Refresh

For Android:

  1. Click the menu at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Next, select Settings
  3. Then, click Refresh Data and tap Yes.

For reference, check out this article: See your latest data in the QuickBooks Online app.

Once done, make a copy of your invoice again. However, if the same thing happens, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your QBO app to refresh the background processes.

In the meantime, you can utilize the feature by opening your account using a web browser on your mobile device. For guidance, feel free to check this link: Duplicate an invoice or an estimate in QuickBooks Online.

Once everything is fine, you'll want to read this resource to help you manage your customer payments in QBO.

I'm always ready to lend a hand if you have any other QuickBooks concerns. Please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one.
