Question

Why won't my QB online allow me to create new products and services? When I try this or even to revise an existing one, there is no option to save. I have to X out.

I have available fixes that we can perform to address unusual behavior in QBO. There are times when some functions don’t work according to their task, this includes other options or buttons. I suggest performing browser troubleshooting to rectify this matter.

 

To start, we can access your company file using a private window. A private window is a helpful tool for troubleshooting browser-related difficulties as it won't preserve any history. The following are the keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

After that, log back into your company and create a new product or service item. Once done, let’s give your browser a fresh start by clearing the cache or cookies to prevent this from happening again. If not, using one of the supported browsers can also be a smart choice.
