a report to show all work done that has not been marked as billable

Hi all, I've done searches on this and can't seem to find a solution. I use a program called TSheets and at the end of the week, I download my work into QuickBooks. After that, I open up QuickBooks and under Customers, I open up Enter Time / Use Weekly Timesheet, select the last week of work and then go through each line item and check it off.

 

The following week, I do the same but I have gone back a few weeks just to double check to make sure I haven’t missed anything and sure enough, I always run into one or two that I haven’t checked off.

 

My question, is there a way to run a report to show all work done that has not been marked as billable?

Good job on taking advantage of the integration between TSheets and QuickBooks. TSheets is one of the apps that's highly recommended by our ProAdvisors and I'm glad you've reached out for help about it. I'd be glad to assist you. 

 

I took a look at our reports list and the closest report which matches what you've described is the Recent/Edited Time Activities Report. You can find this report by clicking Reports from your left navigation menu and entering the name of the report in the search field. Once you've opened the report, click Customize at the top right and click Filter. You should be able to uncheck the Billable button so you only see unbillable time activities. I've attached a screenshot below which you can use as a reference.

Hi James, thanks for this though, I don't seem to be able to see that report in my 2019 Desktop Pro version. My menu is across the top and I just went through every one of the reports looking for something that referenced recent/edited time activities and found nothing.

Can you point me in the right direction here?

You can pull up and customize any of your time reports so it'll show your unbilled time charges. I'm here to help you accomplish this.

 

To do so:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Select Job, Time & Mileage.
  3. Choose Time by Name or Time by Item.
  4. Click Customize Report.
  5. Select Filters.
  6. Choose Billing Status.
  7. Hit Unbilled.
  8. Click OK.

Lastly, you can also save this customized report by clicking the Memorize button. This way you can easily pull up this report for future use.
