Question

Added Projects take a long time to show up on the customer drop down menu when you then go to try to add an invoice or an estimate. Is this an issue with the program?

Let's check if this is a cache-related issue, nwijet.

There are times that your browser's cache can be the reason of some program issues.

Let's start by using a private or incognito window, since it will not record any data history.

Here's how to use it:

  1. Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  2. Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  3. Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  4. Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it works, you can go back to your main browser and clear its cache to let your browser start fresh. Thus, if the same issue persists, you can use a different browser like Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer.

These steps can help your program run faster.

I am using the QBO Desktop App and experiencing the same issues. When we create new projects, we have to close the app and reopen for the project to appear. Is this a known issue or is there a fix? Thank you.

Hi CICAdmin,

Making sure you're able to use the features on your account is something we focus on. I'd be happy to go over this with you.

The projects feature of QuickBooks Online is a great way to keep track of the profitability of a job. If you are having issues with the QuickBooks Online Desktop App lagging when creating new projects it's best to make sure it meets all the specifications required for it to run. You can find that information here. Another option would be to try using the website version to help streamline your workflow. You can log into your QuickBooks Online account here.

Have a great one!
