It sounds like there is a mix-up with how your receipts are being processed in QuickBooks. This can happen due to a few reasons, such as incorrect settings or issues during the upload process. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot this issue:

 

Check Your Upload Method:

  • Ensure you’re using the correct method to upload receipts. If you’re using the mobile app or emailing receipts, make sure they are being sent to the correct email address and format.

Clear Browser Cache:

Review Receipt Settings:

  • Go to the Transactions or Banking menu and select the Receipts tab.
  • Check if there are any settings that might be causing receipts to be categorized incorrectly.

Delete Incorrect Entries:

  • If receipts have been incorrectly categorized as bills, you can delete these entries.
  • Go to the Expenses menu, find the incorrect bills, and delete them.

Re-upload Receipts:

  • After deleting the incorrect entries, re-upload the receipts. Ensure they are categorized correctly this time.
