Can I add a “pay now with E-transfer” link or button on the invoice email that’s sent out to customers

Welcome back to the Community. I'll be happy to provide the info you need so you can continue to receive payments with ease from your clients. The program is designed to help you streamline your work and I'd be glad to shed more light about the Pay Now button option. 

The ability to add e-transfer as an option for making payments or as a link isn't available in QuickBooks. I highly recommend sending feedback to our product developers. You can do this by clicking on the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the valuable feedback we get from users like you. In the meantime, I recommend looking into third-party apps that can help you with this. You're more than welcome to search for third-party apps on our site using this link here. I recommend choosing an app that suits your business needs based on the app description and reviews.
