Can I add missing time to an existing invoice?

We know that mistakes happen and you know what? With QuickBooks Online you can quickly and easily correct an invoice! I'd be happy to help you with how to modify invoices to enter missed time.

In order to edit an invoice to add anything that is missing the first thing we need to check is if a payment has been made on it already. If there has then invoice will be opened again and marked as a partial payment and you'll need to send the updated invoice again. If no payment has been made you can simply go to Sales>Invoices>Click on the invoice you wish to edit>Select Edit invoice. You'll notice the hours are showing as the quantity so all you need to do is change the number to the correct number of hours.

Once the edit is made you can use these steps to update any other invoices or just send the updated invoice to the customer.
