What kind of business do you run? an export/import or manufacturing company?

You need a 3rd party app to integrate with QBO to send proforma invoices.

Thank you for your input, I already access a third party, and was hoping to not have to duplicate the process. It should be part of the QBO program, many companies process Proforma Invoices that dont effect their books until the funds are received and processed. I do appreciate your input.

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  In QuickBooks Online, creating a Proforma invoice currently isn't available.  However, you can create an estimate that can be converted to an invoice.  I'd be happy to provide more information so you're on the right track with your work!

 

Here's a helpful guide for your reference, to assist you with creating and converting an estimate to an invoice in QuickBooks Online.  In addition, you can provide your customers with the option to 'Pay now' directly from their invoice with QuickBooks Online Payments.
