Can it cause a problem creating an invoice at very beginning of a job or project?

Thanks for reaching out here.  QuickBooks Online Projects feature is a valuable way to track customer jobs.  I'd be happy to provide more information, so you're on the right track with accomplishing your goals!

When you set up your new project, you'll give it a name and enter the associated customer information.  You can enter the name as an invoice number without complication.  If you have existing invoices to be applied, you can add them to the project by following the steps in this helpful guide.
