Can you make the columns smaller and/or larger? I want to see the invoice/expense numbers at a glance without having to click on each one.

Hi there, 

 

Keeping track of your invoices and expenses is so important for the health of you business. QuickBooks Online makes it so simple to review the list of invoices/expenses so you can get your work done quickly and easily. I'd be happy to explain how you can adjust the columns so you can see the transaction numbers at a glance. 

 

To adjust the column margins on your report, simply hover your mouse over the dividing lines between columns. You'll see your cursor turn into a grabbing tool, and then you can simply click and drag to adjust column width. This will help you resolve the issue of your headers getting cut off, and you can edit the look of the report to fit your needs.

 

That's all there is to it.

I am having the same issue. I need the rate column to be just a tiny bit wider and could narrow the Qty column to compensate. I did try to use the feedback function but it just froze the screen and I had to close the page and reopen to continue editing.

The steps mentioned above by my colleague Addie are what you need to do to adjust columns width in the system. If you're unable to do so, it could be due to a browser issue. Temporary internet files that accumulate in your browser can sometimes cause bugs in the software. To ensure your app or browser is running the program as designed, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
