Credit Card Feature for clients to pay is unavailable now. How do I fix this?

Hi @lgoddu,

 

Having the ability for your customers to pay their invoices by credit card online is a great feature that can help make things easy for both you and them. I love that you're interested in this kind of feature.

 

If you've already got QuickBooks Payments set up and even your Canadian currency customers aren't seeing the option to Pay Now on their invoices, verify the following setting.

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right of your account.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Sales tab from the left menu.
  4. Scroll to the Online delivery section and click the pencil icon to enable editing.
  5. Choose Online invoice from the Additional email options for invoices drop-down menu.
  6. Hit Save.

This setting needs to be enabled in order for your customer to have the option to pay online, otherwise all they'll see in the email is text.

 

We've also had reports of customers clicking the Pay Now button and being led to a blank screen. We've found this is happening when customers are using Internet Explorer as their browser. If you've had customers with this issue, have them open the invoice from the Pay Now button in a different browser instead. They'll be able to right-click on pay now and copy the link to paste in another browser if needed.
