Custom Invoice Number Sequencing

Being able to track your invoices in sequence is one of the ways QuickBooks Desktop helps you save time. I can help you set up your invoice number.

To change the number of your invoice can be done in a few very simple and quick steps. I recommend doing this when you enter your next invoice as it needs to be saved for it to stay. When you have your invoice open find where it says invoice number, it should be on the right just under the invoice date. Change that number to the number you wish to start at and fill out the invoice. Once you are done save the invoice and when you open it again you'll see the number should be moved up by one. 

Once completed your invoices will begin to track from the last invoice number of your QuickBooks Online account.
