Customized invoice that has special pricing terms

We are a custom kitchen woodshop. We charge our clients in 3 phases 50% upfront 40% when work is completed in the shop and 10% upon delivery. How can I have my invoice reflect these terms and also track the different payments as they come in?

It's vital that all your invoices and payments be recorded properly so that you can clearly see the amount your customers owe. QuickBooks Desktop is a great tool able to help you manage your sales as well as expenses to see the profits of your business. I can provide some information about payments.

 

When creating an invoice, you can add the payments specifications in the Customer message to specify the different payment terms for each payment. As for the payments, you can create them as three separate payments. As the payments come in for the different steps of your project, the amount owing on the invoice will decrease.
