Question

Does anyone know of a workaround for forwarding receipts to @qbodocs.com using filters in Gmail automatically?

In order to setup forwarding in Gmail, you need to add an account but I guess to prevent spambots, Gmail requires that you have access to said account and verifies it by sending a temporary code to add it to list of emails to forward to.

Since @qbodocs.com isn't an inbox one has access to, is there a workaround (or can this be done with the help of the support team)? I do a lot of the ordering of parts for my business via supplier's websites, after which an automatic invoice is emailed to me. In addition, any monthly recurring transactions also generate a receipt. Would be great if it was possible to automatically pass through these so I can reconcile them in quickly in QBO.

Thanks in advance!

Hi euegene14.

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks is a versatile program that helps you streamline your work using the powerful features offered in the program. Rest assured, I'll be happy to share more info so you're on the right track.

The email forwarding function you've described isn't available in QuickBooks. I can see the benefit of having this function and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can send feedback by clicking on the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are based on the feedback we get from users like you. I also recommend looking into third-party apps on our app store using this link

Otherwise, let me know if you have other questions by leaving a comment below. I'll be one message away.
