Employee invoice entering

I know that QuickBooks currently does not have the option for an employee to only have access to entering invoices without seeing all of the company financials. Is there another third party invoicing app/platform recommendation that can then be uploaded to QuickBooks after they enter their invoices remotely from the job site?

I love that you've come to the QuickBooks Community forum to pick the brains of other users. It's a great option for getting the setup that you need with QuickBooks Online, and I see you've already got a suggestion here. I just wanted to highlight a few other resources for you.

When there's something the program can't do and you're wondering if there's a third-party that can do the job, I invite you to check out the Apps tab in QuickBooks Online. You can use the tab's search bar to find partner apps that can sync with QuickBooks Online so that your employees can handle what they need to outside of the program while also syncing the data so the entries are created in your books.

The other thing I'd like to highlight is the option to leave feedback. You're right, QuickBooks Online doesn't currently have the capability to limit a user profile the way you'd like to, so this is a great opportunity to share with our product development team why this would be useful to you. Here's how you can do that: How do I submit feedback? We also have a page that's currently updated quarterly where you can see new features to the software, so you're welcome to bookmark that and keep an eye out to see if the development team has added something that'll be useful to you. Is this still true? That we cannot set up a user to only do invoices without seeing company data?

Thanks for joining in on this thread. This is correct, there isn't a way to add a user to only do invoices. I encourage you to submit feedback to our developers by following the directions provided above.
