Fixing a reconciled account

Working on an account, and see that job income transactions were put in as deposits without having actual invoices. The customer has provided me with the invoices, but the accounts have been reconciled. How do I attach the payments to the invoices without undoing the reconciliation in quickbooks desktop.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. The program offers a variety of tools and resources that help you streamline your accounting. I'll be glad to provide the info you need so you can continue to do the things you love. 

 

In QuickBooks, you can edit those payments and allocate to the correct invoices. You'll need to open each individual invoice and attach the payment that goes along with it. It's important to make sure you're not changing the amount and dates of the transaction as this can cause discrepancies on your reconciliation. However, attaching payments to invoices won't affect those reconciled transactions as long the Total amount, Date, and Bank Account are the same. Hi,

I tried that and it bounces back into undepsited funds. As it's already been deposited I don't need nor want it to go back there. 

Is there any other way?
