Had any one been successful changing the template of the words in the invoices

QuickBooks Online makes it so simple to customize the look and feel of your invoices. This is an awesome way to reflect your business branding for your clients. I'd be happy to explain how to customize the text on your invoices. 

First, review this article for a step-by-step guide to customizing invoices: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. 

As explained in this article, you can create custom fields, as well as re-name the column headers by clicking the Content tab in the customization screen.

Here's how to add custom headers:

1. Select the header section.
2. Select + Custom field.
3. Enter a label for the custom field.

You can also edit data field labels: 

1. Select one of the sections (header, table, or footer). If you select the table section, select Edit labels and widths first. Then you can edit the data fields.
2. Select a data field.
3. Enter a new label.
