Even with these similarities, it's important to note that they're two separate versions of QuickBooks, meaning that the data from one doesn't transfer to the other. While there are some circumstances where QuickBooks Self-Employed could have data transferred to QuickBooks Online, it isn't currently possible to transfer data from Online to Self-Employed.

Given that, to make sure you have the receipts and other transactions you need in your QuickBooks Self-Employed books, you can enter the transactions you need into that system manually. Since you mention wanting to enter receipts, it sounds like you may be working with the Receipts feature. As I mentioned, this is one that both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Self-Employed share, and it even works similarly, so adding your receipts to QuickBooks Self-Employed should be a breeze.
