Hello mber951,

I'm excited to hear that you've chosen to stay with QuickBooks as you've moved to the cloud-based platform. Both Desktop and Online are great options, with QuickBooks Online giving you more freedom of access and on-the-go work options since it's accessed through a browser or application. I want to make sure your issue with your inventory is resolved so that you can get to work in QuickBooks Online.

In these circumstances, it's important to know more about what exactly you mean when you say you postdated your inventory, what steps you took before and after migrating your data to Online, as well as what messages QuickBooks is giving you that's preventing you from completing your invoices. These all give us a better idea of what's going on as well as how to resolve the situation. For that reason, I encourage you to get in contact with support to have a conversation with an agent where you can share these details.

For your reference, here's some insight into the inventory feature in QuickBooks Online.
