Question

Hi everyone. Since i work construction in quebec it is required that i add my RBQ liscence number on my invoices. There is no option for this or i cant find it

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. Having the right information appear on your invoices is important. I would be happy to point you in the right direction.

 

QuickBooks Online is a great tool to have. It has various features that can help make running your business smoother. Customizing forms is one of the many features available. Customizing forms give you the ability to add additional information. Although there isn't a specific place to add RBQ license number, you can add custom fields.  Let me show you how! ** NOTE** If you're using QuickBooks Easy start, you will not be able to complete these steps.

 

1- Head to the Gear icon

2- Select Custom form style

3- Click New style

4- Chose the form you would like to customize

5- There will be a page that opens up, Click on Content

6- Select the Header (Top part of the invoice)

7- Scroll all the way down until you see Custom fields

9- Click on Manage custom fields

10- Click Add field, enter the name of the field (in your case you would enter RBQ license number)

11- Select the Form type

12- Make sure you toggle on the Print on form option. 

 

For QuickBooks Easy start, follow these steps:

 

1- Head to the Gear icon

2- Select Custom form style

3- Click New style

4- Chose the form you would like to customize

5- Click on Content

6- Click on the Footer of the invoice

7- You can add your RBQ license number in the message box, or the Add payment details and footer section.
