Question

Hi. I invoiced my customer with a 2023 date and it should have been a 2024 date. How do I correct this. Payment has already been made to me.

Unless you've already reconciled your account, QuickBooks provides the option to edit invoices when you need to. Here's how:

 

1. Head to the "Sales" tab and select "Invoices"

2. Locate the invoice in question, then click on "Edit"

3. Edit the date and save.

 

You'll need to edit the date on the Payment as well to make sure they match. 

 

1. In the invoice, click on the "Payment" in the upper right corner

2. Edit the date, and save.
