Hi. I own a holiday rental property and am trying to set up payments, so my guests can pay by credit card. I am not a Canadian resident so don't have a SIN. Can I do it?

QuickBooks Payments is an awesome way to get paid quicker and easier. Providing your customers the option to pay online through their invoice will make both your lives easier! I'd be happy to explain the process of setting up Payments, as well as the limitations of doing so. 

A SIN is not required to set up a Payments account, however Payments can only be used through a Canadian bank account.

It's also necessary to make sure you're logging into QBO from a Canadian IP address. If you're applying from somewhere else in the world, the system will recognize this and deny your application.
