Hi is anyone having a problem updating accounts with CIBC?

When bank accounts won't automatically refresh, we recommend manually updating it to add any transactions that have cleared since the last download.

 

Simply click the Update button between two to three times.

Once done, we'll need to reconnect your bank account. 

Here's how:

  1. First, go to Banking on the left pane.
  2. Click the pencil icon beside the account name.
  3. Hit Edit sign-in info.
  4. Make sure to enter your bank login credentials.
  5. Lastly, click Update.

Next, let's ensure you can log into you bank's website using the URL the bank has provided for Online Banking.

 

Follow these steps to get the bank's URL:

  1. Go to Banking on the left pane, then click Add account.
  2. Search the name of your financial institution.
  3. Click the link for the bank's website.

On the bank's website, make sure you can access the accounts.

 

Then, confirm that you can see the account summary, history and details without any errors.

 

Lastly, try looking for a message, notification, or alert from your bank indicating that something isn't working as it should be.
