Hello!

Having only the details you need on file for you and your customers is a good practice for managing your books. From what you've described here and a previous question you've asked in Community, it sounds like you're perhaps looking to delete the credit card associated with your customer for QuickBooks Payments. I can absolutely help you with this.

It's great that you've already been looking around at how to delete this information from your QuickBooks Online account. There's a bit of a trick to deleting credit card details associated with customers via Payments, but don't worry, I've got the steps you need to take. Read the response I gave on the following thread for someone looking to do the same thing: Can I delete credit card info of a customer?

Please note that these steps will remove all of the credit cards associated with the customer profile. Best practice for QuickBooks Payments is to only have one card on file for a customer so that the system doesn't get confused when trying to pull the information. Once you've got the old information removed, you can add new credit card details as needed through the customer profile or when processing another transaction for them through Payments.

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes! I've got your back. :)
