Hello there,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. Having the ability to send Invoices to your customers directly from QuickBooks Online is a game changer. It cuts down the work you need to do to ensure that your customer knows what they owe you for and how much. Let me give you a hand with this process.

When you're creating an Invoice, you have a couple options for saving it once complete. You can simply hit Save and continue working on it, you can hit Save and close, or you can choose to Save and send. This sends the Invoice to your customer, assuming you've entered an email address for them in the appropriate field. You can also send the invoice to additional email addresses by using a comma to separate them. Up to 10 are permitted for one invoice.

When you hit Save and send a new window will open called Send email. Here you can take a look at how the Invoice will send - the email address it'll be sent from, who it's being sent to, the Subject, and the Body. You have the option to connect your Google account in order to have the email sent from your Gmail address rather than the generic quickbooks@notification.intuit.com that defaults. To do this use the arrow to the right of the From field and choose + Add Gmail address.

Once you've finished customizing the Subject and Body if necessary, you can hit Send and close or Send and new, or even Print if you'd like to keep a physical copy of the message that was sent. If you choose the option to add your Gmail, you'll be able to see sent emails by navigating to the Sent folder of your Gmail. There isn't a way to confirm that an email was sent to your client or received by them otherwise, unless you get in touch with them directly. You can always navigate to the Sales tab, locate an invoice, click it to open it, and re-send it to your customer if you don't think it sent the first time around.

I can see how a feature that enables you to view whether your emails are sent to your customers would be handy. It'd be a great idea for you to submit feedback on this to our team of product developers. You can do that by navigating to the Gear and choosing Feedback. They love to hear from users like you with feedback and suggestions for how they can improve QuickBooks.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm here to help. Take care!
