How do I add a class when submitting a receipt in QBO?

Good afternoon, officemanager-al.

 

It's great to see you in the Community. Class tracking is available for QuickBooks Online Plus, or Advanced and I’m happy to provide those steps so you can get started adding classes to your transactions.

 

First, you'll need to turn the feature on. Here's how:

 

1. Go to Settings and select "Account and Settings".
2. Click on "Advanced", then select the Categories section to edit.
3. Checkmark Track classes.
4. The checkmark for "Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class" is optional, but it means that when you look at reports, you know everything's been classified.
5. Under "Assign classes", select "One to entire transaction" or "One to each row in transaction".*
6. Select "Save", then "Done".

 

Once class tracking has been turned on, you'll be able to create and manage classes.
