Some items on my estimate are on back order, but I wish to invoice what I do have ready. How do I do this?

Hi sszyq,

Welcome to the Community. It's important to record your transactions correctly to keep your books are up to date. QuickBooks Online is a great program that gives you the ability to easily track your sales and expenses. I'd be glad to help.

QuickBooks offers the option to create multiple partial invoices from a single estimate. Based on what you've described, you can create an invoice from the estimate by choosing the option to custom amount for each line. Customizing the correct amount for each line will also reflect the correct quantity on the invoice. To do so, when you open your estimate, click on Create invoice > Select Custom amount for each line and then create invoice > Enter the amount you wish to invoice, the quantity on the invoice will adjust based on the amount > click on Save or Save and send.
