How do I change my address on my invoices? I keep getting code 70001 every time I try to edit and Quickbooks help can't do it either.

Hello parklanelimos,

 

Thanks for including the error code you're seeing when trying to update your address on your invoices. I know that having up-to-date information is important for your records and for communicating with your customers, and I want to make sure you're able to get past this error so that your information is updated in QuickBooks Online. I'll help you out with this.

 

From what you've described here, it sounds like you could be working with the Custom form styles section to change your address. This is a great place to start and gives you the options you need to make sure that everything is current on your forms. There's another place you can update your address however that I'd like you to try out. Follow these steps for changing your address in your company settings.

  1. Select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. On the Company tab, select the Address section.
  4. Enter the address details.
  5. Click Save.

If you're getting the same error when trying to update the address there, it could mean there's a bigger issue going on. We've had reports previously of the error you describe when trying to update company information, but before I show you how to get in touch with us, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

Try them one at a time and check after each if you're having the same error code come up. If you exhaust the list and still see the error, please get in touch with the QuickBooks support team outside of the Community forum. When you reach us, an agent can troubleshoot further and then take down your information to escalate to our engineers if needed.
